I love to create things!

I have a lot of different interests, but whether it's creating a website, growing a garden, building a solar collector, capturing art through the lens, or tinkering with a new machine, creating something from scratch is the common thread through most of my interests.

This site is basically the home for all of my hobbies and interests. It didn't make sense to keep adding separate blogs for each area that I'm interested in!

Gardening is peaceful, and reminds me that patience and hard work are rewarding in more ways than just the end goal. Sometimes the process is rewarding in it's own right.

Photography allows me to show others the world from a different perspective, and sometimes show others a part of the world they may never have the opportunity to see themselves. In both photography and web design(my real job!), I love the intersection of the technical and the artistic. In both fields, you need to be good at both the artistic and technical details in order to create something amazing. And in both, that's my goal, to create something amazing! I've got a ways to go, but the journey's been fun!

Health is important to me, because I neglected it for a couple of years, and have had to deal with the consequences of it in weight and lack of energy. Getting back into shape isn't just about looks, it's about removing a limitation in my life, so I can accomplish the things that matter to me.
